Mani Thiru has great appreciation for Walter Isaacson’s observation that innovation will come from people who are able to link beauty to engineering, humanity to technology, and poetry to processors. The creative, eclectic, non-linear is as necessary as structure, discipline, rationale – and Mani brings the best of both worlds with her lateral thinking drawn from a background in science, business consulting and technology to these challenges.
Her early background is advisory to boards and CxOs in the corporate on growth strategies; new product development, customer experience, business development and market opening – with digital innovation and technology transformation as primers.
Today, Mani is working with an intrepid cohort of AWS customers and partners focused on building and accelerating their space missions with cloud technologies while supporting the broader APJ space industry community to further economic and sovereign capability development through space and satellite innovation.
Diversity & inclusiveness covering women, indigenous participation and being a visible advocate for STEM, the next generation of talent and sustainable earth and space practices are topics close to her heart. She mentors and speaks extensively on diversity and inclusion. For these efforts, she was recognised by Women’s Agenda in Australia as an Emerging Leader in 2020 and awarded the Female Entrepreneur of the Year across Asia Australia by the Stevie Awards in 2021.
