Dr. Chen is working on nanophotonics and biophotonics research. Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Prof. Lan Fu at Department of Electronic Materials Engineering, Research School of Physics, ANU College of Science, to conduct the laser-free on-chip super-resolution microscopy project. Dr. Chen obtained his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2020 with a thesis entitled ” Multi-photon Nonlinear Fluorescence Emission in Upconversion Nanoparticles for Super-resolution Imaging,” under the supervision of Prof. Fan Wang, Prof. Dayong Jin, Dr. Qian Peter Su, and A/Prof. Peter Reece. He was employed as a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Electrical and Data Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, UTS, where he led the research group in nanophotonics. Dr. Chen actively researches novel optical nonlinear nanomaterials and their applications in optical super-resolution imaging to form high-performance and robust on-chip devices in nanoscale sensing and advanced biophotonics technologies. Dr. Chen has published over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr. Chen has published as the first or corresponding author in premier international journals, including Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Nano Letters, and Advanced Sciences, resulting in a high average impact factor over 10 of his publications.
