Ahmed Rayhan is a Masters by Research Student with research interests in optical biosensors, biomedical sensing technologies, and metasurfaces. His work focuses on developing innovative sensing platforms for healthcare diagnostics, disease monitoring, and next-generation biosensing applications.

He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, where he developed a strong foundation in electronics and optical technologies. His undergraduate research focused on optical biosensors for blood glucose monitoring and the detection of tuberculosis biomarkers in blood samples.

Previously, Ahmed’s research was primarily simulation-based, through which he gained experience in device modeling, optimization, and performance analysis. Through his Master’s studies, he aims to expand his expertise beyond simulation by gaining hands-on experience in device fabrication, characterization, and experimental implementation.

Beyond research, Ahmed enjoys exploring emerging technologies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and engaging with the global research community. He is committed to advancing photonic sensing technologies that can improve healthcare outcomes and enhance quality of life.
