Biography:

Jiajun Meng is a postdoctoral research fellow in meta-optical devices at the School of Physics, University of Melbourne. He currently works on optical microspectrometers and chemical classifiers based on silicon nanowires, plasmonic metasurfaces and machine learning.

He has pursued his PhD study in Professor Kenneth B. Crozier’s group at the University of Melbourne from 2017 to 2021. He has previously received his Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Melbourne in 2016. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering at Fudan University, Shanghai, China in 2013.

He is the author of more than 20 journal papers and conference papers. His current research interests include nanophotonics, nanofabrication, optical microspectrometers, chemical sensing. He is also interested in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and the implementation in nanophotonic devices.
