In 2009, Karen and her family moved to Perth from South Africa. Karen had 15 years of University administrative work experience from her time at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa where she worked in the Department of Botany and then the Department of Chemistry. In February 2010, Karen started work at the University of Western Australia in the Department of Electrical, Electronic & Computer Engineering in the School Office. In 2015, she moved across to the Microelectronics Research Group, within the Department, as the Group Administrator and is now part of the TMOS Professional Staff Team. Karen enjoys working with people and helping them. She is expanding her interest in this area by pursuing a Diploma of Community Services.
