Sophia is an experienced academic and researcher with expertise in organic geochemistry, archaeology, and biogeochemistry. She is currently an Outreach Coordinator at the University of Technology Sydney, where she focuses on making Meta-Optics accessible to everyone. Prior to this, she worked as a full-time Lecturer at Australian Catholic University, teaching courses related to biogeochemistry and archaeology. Her research experience spans several institutions, including Macquarie University, where she held roles such as Research Fellow and Honorary Research Fellow in Ancient History. Additionally, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Haifa, specializing in environmental and archaeological research. Her career also includes a position as an organic geochemist with the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program. With a solid background in both research and teaching, Sophia has made valuable contributions to outreach, helping to engage and educate the public on complex scientific topics.
