Gurpreet Singh Gill

Gurpreet Singh Gill was born in India. He received his B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees in electronics and communication engineering from Punjab Technical University and Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Punjab, India, in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He completed his Ph.D. within the Microelectronics Research Group and the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering at The University of Western Australia (UWA), Perth, Western Australia, Australia in 2022. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate within the same group. Before commencing his Ph.D. at the UWA, he worked as a Senior Research Fellow and Research Trainee at the Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani, India, which is one of the pioneering research labs in electronics and is a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, India and primarily worked on micro and nano electro-mechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS) and their applications. He is currently leading research activities in the area of MEMS/NEMS and his current research activities involve thin-film materials and mechanics, optical MEMS, optoelectronic devices and Infrared sensing and imaging as well as their applications.
